Attestation of signature on documents

This service is if you require your signature to be attested or witnessed by a consular officer, for documents such as (but not limited to) the following:

• CPF Withdrawal form

• Attestation of Signature on Powers of Attorney

• Attestation of Signature on HDB Documents

• Attestation of Signature on Bank Mortgage

Procedures

1. Please contact us and schedule for an appointment (singemb_was@mfa.sg). All applications will only be accepted between 9.00am to 1.00pm on weekdays on an appointment-only basis.

2. As we have to prepare certificates in advance, please provide the following:

   • Number of people signing on the document

   • Name(s) as it appears on the passport

   • NRIC number(s) or Passport No(s)

   • Gender / Date of Birth

   • If not a Singapore national, please indicate nationality

   • Number of documents for signature attestation

   • Scanned copy of documents

3. On the day itself, please bring the following:

   • Original passport for ID and signature verification

   • Photocopy of passport page showing name, date of birth, IC / passport number, for our retention

Processing fee

• US$12.00 for a certificate of declaration of due execution of document including seal for one person

• US$1.00 for the registration and signing of the certificate by the consular officer

• US$1.00 for each duly executed document

   All applications submitted in person to the Singapore Embassy in Washington DC will only be accepted between 9.00am to 1.00pm on weekdays on an appointment-only basis.

   1. Payment can be made by cash. Alternatively, please issue a cashier’s cheque or money order in US currency made payable to the "Singapore Embassy". Personal/corporate checks are not accepted.
      

2. Singapore Consulate-General in San Francisco
